"Cannot access this file"

I’m getting this error in the esession when dragging in a couple of clips.

They are described by finder as MPEG-4 AAC, H.264, 620 x 360.

Is this a codec issue or something else? The audio plays fine in Live.

Converting to hap with avbatchconverter didn’t solve the issue

Edit - in console it says Ebosuite can’t find the file. Dragged it to a different folder and it worked although it still says it can’t find it. I’m confused. Do files have to be in a specific location and I’ve forgotten?

Hi gavspav
What is the file path of the video? Some characters confuse Max/Live and then the EboSuite can’t find the file. What happens when you put the file on the desktop and drop it in your project from there?
We strongly advise not to use h264, because this codec is not optimised for live video. But h264 should work. If you use many h264 videos and do advanced triggering, the CPU might get overloaded which leads to unexpected behaviour.

Yes when I put the file somewhere else it works so it is some kind of path issue.

I’m not using h264 in my finished composition but I am attempting to use it in the clip selection/editing phase ie. importing the video, finding the section I want and then using econvert.

This seems to be problematic though, particularly for larger clips, so I’ve been trimming them down.

Hi gavspav
Could you send a h264 clip that doesn’t work to contact@ebosuite.com? It would be interesting to try it out here.
