Beachball and weird workaround

I have been able to use Ebo without any issues for quite awhile….until today. I reverted back to OBS 31, because OBS32, for me, is a hot mess. Last night and today I have had a recurring problem. I am about to test one last thing. Essentially, I have a performance set with eSesson and VideoSend in their proper places saved to the set. Now when I open the set and Ebo starts, the video in the Ebo eSession viewer is working, but it beachballs and the VideoSend is nowhere to be seen in OBS. For some reason, if I deleted all the Ebo stuff from the set, moved part of the videos to a new audio channel, replaced the Ebo things, it works fine. I move the rest of the videos to the new channel, still works fine.

I’m curious if anyone has had this issue, since it is pretty recent for me. I am going to resave my performance set without the Ebo plugins, then relaunch them from the newly saved set and see if it fixes it.

I’ll report back on the results.

The resaving of the set without the plugins did not remedy the problem. The solution, while inconvenient, works still.

And the workaround doesn’t work either.

Hi danbient,

Im sorry to hear that. Are you using ProRes and/or Hap videos only? Or also H264? H264 can cause unexpected behaviour in more complex projects. To understand your problem we need more insight in your situation. Could you send us an email at contact@ebosuite.com? Then we can discuss this in more detail there.

Cheers

Update after email: it seems it was caused by H264 videos in the set.
